Terms & Conditions
These are the general terms that apply when you buy from Motorized Bikes Ireland, whether that is an engine kit, a spare part, or a fully assembled motorized bike. They are written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, give us a call on 087 278 7177 and we will happily talk you through it.
About us and getting in touch
Motorized Bikes Ireland is based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. We sell DIY petrol engine kits, spare parts, and fully assembled motorized bikes through this website. For any question about an order, a part, or a bike, the quickest way to reach us is a phone call to 087 278 7177. We pride ourselves on customer service, so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Orders and payment
Engine kits and parts are purchased through our online store and paid for at the time of order, with the delivery price calculated at checkout. Fully assembled bikes are arranged directly with us and paid on delivery, once you are happy with the bike. Prices are shown in euro and may be updated from time to time; the price you pay is the price shown at the time you order.
Delivery
Engine kits and parts are shipped nationwide by An Post or our delivery partner. Fully assembled bikes are not couriered: we deliver them personally, anywhere in Ireland, and you pay the driver on the day. Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees, and can vary with location and demand. See our delivery page for full details.
Warranty
DIY engine kits are sold with no warranty, as any resulting damage can be caused by how the kit is fitted by the customer rather than by the kit itself. That said, if something goes wrong while you are fitting or running your kit, reach out to us and we will do our best to help.
Fully assembled bikes carry a 28-day warranty from the date of delivery. If you run into any issues within that time, we will help you diagnose the problem and send you the necessary replacement part. To keep things simple and keep costs down for everyone, we do not call out to your address to fit replacement parts ourselves.
Whatever you have bought from us, a phone call on 087 278 7177 is always the best first step. We pride ourselves on customer service and will do our best to help.
Returns
If a part or kit arrives faulty or not as described, contact us as soon as possible on 087 278 7177 and we will sort it out. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law. Because engine kits and parts are mechanical items intended to be fitted by the customer, please check your order carefully before fitting, as fitted or used parts may not be suitable for return.
Use, safety and liability
Motorized bikes and engine kits sold by us are intended for off-road and private land use, in line with the position set out on our Legal Status page. It is the customer’s responsibility to fit kits correctly, follow the instructions provided, wear appropriate safety equipment, and use the bike responsibly and in accordance with the law. We are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from incorrect fitting, misuse, unauthorised modification, or use of a bike or kit other than as intended. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
